Like all billing systems, Hydra supports a simple scheme of dealing with fixed paydays. Generally, providers tie the billing period to the first day of a month.
However, fixed paydays are a constant headache for many telecom providers. Starting billing processes at the beginning of a month always causes a peak in workload and a drop in customer service.
An individual payday is a compromise. The payday is still fixed for every customer, but it doesn’t have to be the first day of a month. It’s easier for a customer to remember a particular date of payment. But in this case, you will have to spread your customers across the month evenly to ensure the workload is equal. For example, some providers set the day of a customer’s initial connection as the payday.
If you don’t set a payday for a customer, it will be floating: It will change after a break in providing services.
