Sometimes the traffic received by billing cannot be rated. It may occur due to delays in commands, certain features of the network, or mistakes at setup. It may affect any CDRs and UDRs, starting from telephone and Internet traffic to VoD services. Large volumes of unrated traffic are the reason to search for what is wrong. Hydra has special reports so that such traffic does not go unaccounted.
In your standard CDR report, specify a filter for unrated CDRs. In most cases, Hydra detects the reason for failure in rating and sets proper statuses to the CDRs. View CDR details to learn more about the supplied service. As soon as you eliminate the reason for the rating failure, you should use the re-rate function.
To analyze unaccounted Internet traffic, use a special report.
Just like in the case with telephony, Hydra will indicate the reason for the unaccounted traffic and show details for every traffic loading session. Hydra also detects rogue PPP or IPoE sessions, puts the alert into log and disconnects them automatically.
